PRCA Mobile ToolKit 2017

PRCA Mobile Toolkit 2017

It seems as though with each new day comes not only opportunity, but a new trend to follow. Our target external audience is on Facebook, so we need to learn the newest update. Our internal newsletter needs updating, so we need to check out this new tool to better reach them. Oh, and have we integrated video into our social media strategy yet?

Just thinking about it is enough to make your head spin.

Each year, we aim to tackle these trends and topics by providing you with the tools you need to take back to your organization. I’m especially excited about this year’s Toolkit, not only because I’ve headed it up, but because the topics are ones that we can all relate to in the ever-changing world of public relations.

A new buzzword in the public relations world is the “influencer.” Sure, we may know what it means, but where do you start and how do you work that relationship into your pitch? Jennifer Bond (Partner, Bond Moroch), whose clients include Esquire and Sucre, will cover this hot topic.

Most all of us are pitching to followers on Facebook. Even if you know your audience, how do you identify and create engaging ways to reach them? Stephean Grimes (Partner, Mighty) will offer an in-depth look at how their campaign raised an investment of $250,000 for a client.

Video, video, video. We know it’s important—but how do you get past simply going “live” and create quality video content? Todd Hall (Owner, LLAHDDOT Creative Group), who brought the Joe Bullard story to video, will share his insights with us.

Have you ever had to promote or create something from scratch? Maybe it’s a new employee program, a product, an event, or a mobile coffee and espresso bar. Jeff Roberts (Owner, Yellowhammer Coffee), did the latter and will share with us how he created a story and brand—and continues to engage his audience.

We could talk about trends all day long, but if we aren’t measuring the impact, are they really successful? (The answer here is NO). We’re excited to be bringing in an expert on measurement, Rachel Smith from Google. Rachel will share with us what metrics matter in your quest for increased traffic, views, or engagement.

Finally, I hope you plan to join us at a special networking event after Toolkit from 3 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Container Yard. This event is included with your registration and will have complimentary wine provided by Bottles Up Mobile.
